Don’t drink the water

This is a serious infrastructure situation across much of the country, not just here in the rural West (“When you can’t drink the water,” December 2020). Obviously, Flint, Michigan, is the poster child for this, but it wouldn’t surprise me if 50 million Americans have compromised drinking water. Of the many things that this country should be investing in, both from a moral and economic standpoint, this is very high on the list.
